LME Warehouse Stocks

The Warehouse Stocks can be viewed as a summary, a detailed view for the current day, or a detailed historical view. The initial view is a summary for the current day:

This shows the closing stock, stock in, stock out, stock movement (in – out), the number of warrants for the metal and the number of cancelled warrants.

Click the chart symbol to view a chart of the closing stock for approximately the last 12 months. Charts of warehouse stocks can be created for greater or shorter time periods by using the Static Chart Builder (described elsewhere).

Use the zoom button to go to a detailed view of that days warehouse stocks

This shows you the same information as the summary screen, but broken down by LME warehouse. By clicking the plus button next to the warehouse, you can view a further breakdown by grade for that warehouse.

Click the back button to go back to the summary screen.
Use the drill down button, from the initial summary screen, to navigate to an historical tree view:

This allows access to historical warehouse stocks data for the previous ten years. Simply click the plus symbols next to each year to expand the tree to show the available months of that year we have data for. Similarly click the plus symbols next to each month and finally each day to view detailed stocks information by warehouse for the given day.

Each warehouse is further sub divided by the grade of the stock. For example Aluminium is split by INGO, SOWS and TBAR. Click the plus symbol next to each warehouse location to view the stocks details by grade for that location.

The button will take you to the Historic Data page where, amongst other data types, you can view the closing stock per metal, for periods greater than 10 years ago. For example copper closing stocks back to 1st January 1970.
